Time for Sunflowers

I did a little Sunflower project back in January/February. I still haven't decided what to do with them.

But now the studio is up and running I came at the Sunflowers from another direction.

I am still working on incorporating etching into my work but this time around I'm focusing on the best way to add colour. What a better subject than Sunflowers.

My models were old botanical prints.

After etching the plastic I quick proofed them with an inky rag.

Now I'm ready to play with these ladies.
