Rock Ptarmigan - Final

I found feathers in my hair last night.

But my Ptarmigan is stitched and glued. His wing is secure but still somewhat free so it floats on top of my fat little bird.

While the leaves are only pinned I can take the time to decide whether to add more and how to mount/finish this one......while I clean up.

I used about 1/3 of the feathers I ordered, but I'm going to try to keep the styles separate.

It's currently is 30"x26". This won't change much unless I add a border.

But I can leave it for now.
