I finally got back to these little darlings. I decided to fill them completely and the micro quilt each piece. Each is 8.5"x 6"
I need to decide what kind of a backdrop they'll look best on. My thinking is leaning towards a triptych of some sort.
It was very soothing and meditative to paint them. I used a very fine brush and Derwent ink sticks.

Each took about half a day to stitch.
The green painters tape served as an edge definer.
Whether they are bound or have raw edges is another decision
