Into September

Thanks to all of you who signed up for the email notifications. I wasn't happy posting everything to Facebook . I'll go back to reserving that for the finished pieces.

This has been, a not unexpected, busy time. Between garden demands and assisting my Tomato sauce Guru the household has been in turmoil.

With cases of tomato product in the cellar things are calming down, (and the heat has broken) I'm just trying to put the household back into order before I head out to BC to visit my sister.

One of the last things I wanted to do was finish dying some fabric. in the midst of re-jigging storage and efficient space usage in the basement, I came across the bags of onion skins I had saved from last year. To that I added some marigold blossoms and sumac berries.

Rolled, folded and heated it will now sit for as long as I can wait.....a week I hope.

It should be an interesting mélange of colour.
