I slipped a sheet of flat batting behind the tree trunk before I stitched all the folded dark netting.

I was prepared this morning to attempted to dye some cheesecloth for the forest floor, but this piece of Northcott fabric I had been using for the distant trees was almost perfect.

The stage is set for the rest of the life on the forest floor.
