Grass

When this is finally assembled the birds will be nestled down in the grass and rocks. The grass around fence posts and rocks usually has a mind of its own so it needed to be real...or at least as real as the Quail. After a few variations I came up with wool, needle felted around strands of burlap cord.

A tad labour intensive, but it gives me the look and feel I want.
