Christmas Panel Interlude

A friend brought me this Cardinal panel. While it clearly wasn't necessary to work on this so soon, it was a nagging presence with the other two art pieces that I buzzing in my mind. One has a 6 week deadline, the other can wait till after the holidays.

So the panel had to be removed from the list.

And as usual my ambition creates extra work, but in the end, I solved all the issues (of my own making) and can pass this back to my friend.

These three cardinals are thread stitched and have a touch of trapunto about them.

They were front and center and really needed to be the main feature.

The remaining three received a simple outline as did most of the trees.

A few shades of white and I little sparkle snow thread finished this off today.
