Art Deco Moth - Final

It took a few days for me to decide how to finish this piece. The original felt was very thin and became a bit distorted. Fusing it to some muslin seemed to help but it was still to flimsy to finish. In the end I added a layer of batting, another layer of muslin and finally a piece of canvas.

A little machine stitching and a border of denim finally stabilized the whole piece.

The pearls came from an old angora sweater, never worn........ too itchy.
